Das Grabmal für Henry
Hoare Esq. (1705-85) in St. Peter's dokumentiert ausführlich die
Nachkommenschaft des Verstorbenen. Die Inschrift lautet:
Henry Hoare Esq, to whom this Memorial is erected, Married first
Anne, Daughter of Samuel, Lord Masham, by whom he had a Daughter,
who died, aged 8 years, in 1735. By his second wife, Susan, deceased
in 1743, he had three Sons & two Daughters: Henry - who died soon
after his Birth in 1729; Henry - born Dec 22d 1730 & died at Naples
in 1752; Susanna - born Apr 15th 1732, married first to Charles Lord
Boyle, afterwards Lord Dungarvan, eldest Son of John, Earl of Cork &
Orrery; secondly to Thomas, Lord Bruce, now Earl of Ailesbury. She
died in Feb 1783. Colt - born Nov 11th 1733, died in May 1740; Anne
- born June 27th 1737, who, being married to Richard Hoare, of
Barn-Elms in Surrey Esq. and having given birth to two Sons (Henry
Richard - born & buried in 1757; Richard Colt - born Dec 9th 1758)
expired on the 5th of May 1759, leaving a lively Image of many
amiable Virtues impressed on the Hearts of all who had the happiness
of knowing her gentle and engaging Character. |
